This is a HALF DAY tour. Check the itinerary to decide whether you want to go on the morning or afternoon leg of the tour. When making your booking, select a morning slot to go on Part 1 of the tour, and the afternoon slot to go on Part 2 of the tour. Part 1

The first half of the "Atlanta On My Mind" tour begins in the Midtown Atlanta area, right on the border of Buckhead.

To select this half of the tour, you must only choose tours starting at 10am.

9:00AM Eat breakfast at your hotel.
10:00AM Hotel Pick Up.
10:30AM Hop-off stop featuring four attractions in one:

Tour the Woodruff Arts Center, a major visual and performing art center located in Midtown Atlanta. The Woodruff Arts Center houses four arts divisions, including the High Museum of Art, the leading art museum in the Southeastern United States and one of the most visited art museums in the world.

Besides the High Museum of Art, the Woodruff Arts Center houses:

  • Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
  • Alliance Theatre
  • Young Audiences and the 14th Street Playhouse
12:30PM Depart the Arts Center.

Pass interesting landmarks on the way to lunch, including The Castle,  one of this city's most architecturally unique buildings.

12:45PM Lunch at Colony Square, a state of the art complex and retail mall located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.

1:45PM Board the bus.

On the way to the next stop, pass points of interest, including the Statue of Brothers, and Rhodes Hall.

1:55PM Tour the William Breman Jewish Heritage & Holocaust Museum,* which explores the universal themes of respect for difference, responsible citizenship, human dignity, and community building through the lens of the Jewish experience.

Tour the Center For Puppetry Arts Museum,** the nation’s largest organization dedicated to the art form of puppetry.

*The Breman Jewish Heritage Museum is closed on Saturdays.
**The Center for Puppetry Arts Museum is closed on Mondays.

2:55PM Board bus.

While headed back to the Tours of Atlanta Bus Station, pass interesting Atlanta landmarks, including The Varsity.

For participants on a half day tour, this marks the last stop of the day. Why not do some more exploring outside of your hotel or, if you need to relax, watch a DVD in your room?

Participants on a full day tour will unwind, check out our Travel Shop, and take pictures at the station prior to departing for the second half of the tour.

Part 2

The second half of the "Atlanta On My Mind" features parks and gardens.

To select this half of the tour, you must only choose tours starting at 3:20pm.

3:20PM Departure from station.
3:40PM Tour the Atlanta Botanical Garden, a 30 acres (12 ha) botanical garden located adjacent to Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta.

5:25PM Depart Atlanta Botanical Garden.
5:35PM Visit Piedmont Park, Atlanta's favorite in-town park for hosting a variety of events and activities.

6:00PM Depart the park to head for dinner.
6:15PM Dinner at a Piedmont Park area restaurant.
