The first half of the "Historical South" tour begins in a part of Atlanta often referred to as the "West Side."

Tour the Underground, six historic city blocks in the heart of Atlanta transformed into an urban market with unique shopping, dining, history and entertainment. The Underground is home to a collection of public art installations and murals and hosts a number of art exhibitions in their galleries. |

Depart the Underground.
Hop off at Oakland Cemetery. Founded in 1850, Oakland Cemetery is the final resting place of many of Atlanta's settlers, builders, and most noted citizens like Bobby Jones, Margaret Mitchell, and Maynard Jackson. Here you will choose between two audio tours:

Board bus and depart for dinner.
Narrative sightseeing while on the way will include interesting landmarks and points of interest, including Cabbagetown, Reynoldstown, Inman Park, and Little Five Points.

Dinner at a Little Five Points area restaurant. Little Five Points is famous for the alternative culture it brings to Atlanta. Some describe it as a melting pot of sub-cultures, and the Bohemian center of the Southern United States.
